ss/tc vs lexus sc300 turbo
My car...08 ss/tc that put down 318whp and 366wtq. I've since added meth, 3" catback, mpx crank pulley, and a new clutch and aluminum flywheel. With the meth on the car it put down 389wtq but then the stock clutch signed off. I'm assuming an 112-113ish trap car as it sits now.
I ran into an sc300 on i95 in Mexico today. I could see the driver switching lanes in my rear view pretty far back and I didn't think too much off it. As it got closer I could see its a Lexus sc300 with a front mount. Now two of my friends have built sc300's up in the past and I know they are no joke...basically a Toyota Supra in disguise.
As he pulls up next to me doing 60mph i'm already in 3rd gear ready to go. To my suprise it's an older black couple who looked to be in their mid to late 40's. We both hit on it at the same time and I couldn't even hear my own car. Keep in mind i'm catless with no resonator or muffler and this SC was screaming. We shut down at 110mph door to door with each other and the owner gave me an WTF look and started laughing. We exhanged thumbs up and went about our way.
While it sounded insane i'm thinking it had to be a cheap ebay turbo kit on low boost or something. I know it was a short sprint being from 60-110mph and i'm sure it would have started pulling away at higher speeds. Both of my friends SC's had no problem trapping in the 118-124mph range with a very mild setup.

it has an n/a supra engine from the factory. Basically a thicker head gasket and some head studs with a turbo..easy 400+ whp. Its not any different then when people turbocharge the n/a supra or is300.

"Its an sc lexus with "A" cheap TURBO kit? Um ok"
Ricer your "A" ******* idiot. My meaning was who would put "A" cheap TURBO kit on an sc300? Damn theres some gay fuckfaces here
Its a, not an. Use "an" when there's a vowel starting the next word (most of the time) If you're going to poke fun, atleast dont sound like AN moron. Lol
#12
The 2jz is a cast iron block... A 2jzge is not at all the same as a 2jzge... Heads diff. Cars diff. Internal are diff. And Wut. The 2jz bottom end was originally made for diesel.....

I love screwing with people on grammar. Especially when they are busy calling each other "an moron", flaming, and arguing over obvious misunderstandings.
BTW, you should use the "multi-quote" function next time when you want to mess with people. It makes it easier and more fun to see who you're correcting. :P hahahaha

Supra TT:
1993
For the export model (America/Europe) Toyota upgraded the Supra turbo's engine (smaller, steel wheeled turbochargers, bigger fuel injectors, etc.). This increased the power output to 320 hp (239 kW; 324 PS) at 5600 rpm and 315 ft·lb (427 N·m) at 4000 rpm.[19] The turbocharged variant could achieve 0–60 mph in as low as 4.9 seconds (0–62: 5.2 sec.) and 1/4 mile (402 m) in 13.3 seconds at 109 mph (175 km/h).
That car has same curb wt as SC300.

How do ya figure 150HP with a *Turbo* only added??? No way. That would either have to be a Supra TT set up or a fully built motor to gain 150 HP. The only other possibility is NOS+*Turbo Kit*.

Slap a turbo on it, head studs, and a thicker head gasket and you make Supra power numbers. I'm not saying a stock supra tt turbo setup...any aftermarket turbo kit on the sc300 can easily make rediculous number.

Interesting discussions here guys! had fun reading different opinions and arguments. And I think one thing we should learn here is not to buy cheap Lexus parts turbo kit.
