C6 Z06 would absolutely rape you.

Good Job OP... However, I think a Z06 will be too much of a competition even for an E85 tuned LNF with good whp. The C6 Z06 doesn't weight much either. We are looking at a difference of almost 90whp with similar weight in both cars.. Unless the guy in the Z has never driven a stick shift.

It doesn't work when I goto sea level. He needs to come up here so I can retain my advantage. That's the whole point of having a turbo car at high altitude -- you are the least affected by it versus supercharged or N/A cars.

You missed the point further up in the thread. All these "fastest Z06" times you just posted didn't happen at a track with a DA of over 8000ft like the track I race at. They are not relevant to racing MY car at MY altitude. Your 12.9 @ 113 is about a 14.0 @ 104 at my local track if the DA was over 8000ft. My SS/TC would rape your Z06 just like the C6 in the video at this altitude. I ran my 13.1 @ 110.5 with a 8600ft DA, the track itself is already 5800ft above sea level.

I was pretty happy considering it was my first run in this car at this strip. Be sure to note altitude of the strip!!!

There taken straight from the thread those times where posted from is a BONE stock C6z still trapping 4 mph faster than you @ elevations similar to yours. That was just a quick search in that thread , like I said previously in my post earlier in your thread, BONE STOCK c6z's still trap 115 - 117 at extreme elevations.

I am quite familar with these cars I am just trying to inform you, not for you to get the wrong idea here. I am not saying at extreme elvations you might not could find a shitty driver and get a win, but the car itself is capeable of pulling out the victory.

THANK YOU for being the first person in this thread to actually go find information that is relevant!

While we don't know if the driver of that C6 Z06 was good or not, I can say he did run at my local track in abnormal conditions - it hardly ever gets below 65*F when the track is open. The only times it gets that cold are the first opening weeks in mid April and the last week or so they are open in October. (Which if he went on 4/14, it's a private rental day when a bunch of people get together and go.) I do intend to go back in October to see how much the cooler air and lower DA will benefit my time/trap.

In the meantime, I'm still waiting to come across a C6 Z06 to run though.

Work on that 60'. Mine went easy 1.91s on KDW2s. You would probably get down in the 12.4 range. MPH seems low too.

Interesting study on elevation versus F/I.

Here in central, PA I've run side by side a SS/TC (said he just had a tune and nothing else) in my c5. This was back when I first bought it and couldn't drive it for sh*t and was already in 2nd gear at 30mph with the rear tires slipping through shifts. I'd love to do that race over from either a dig or at least have it in 1st.

Can't wait to go forced induction on the LS1

The c5 z06 i ran this weekend avg's a 12.5 @120mph at the track, he showed me his slips sat night. All he has done is intake, axle back exhaust and ET street raials.
