Im telling you right now you guys are going to flame me, but I swear this is all the truth.

I was driving home from work today and ahead of me was a black gto. I scoot around some traffic to eventully get behind it at a red light (he is the first car in lane 1). First thing I saw was the 6.0 Badge and I thought "aww forget it thats way out of my league".

On green I stay near his rear and switch to lane 2 WOT, I hear his car open up and I continue to pull ahead by a few car lengths..(I took off first)

The guy gets next to me and tells me he wants to run again and to follow him. We pull into a parking lot nearby and he tunes his car real quick and we head out. We ended up talking afterward so I can tell you it is modded. What I recall was intake, headers, full exhaust, tune.... it is an auto though.

So we reach our nice open road and his passenger has his cell phone ready to film, they honk 3 times for a 20 roll and he pulls a about 2 cars on me. I couldnt help but complain that my 20 roll in second gear was a horrible start for me.

We go again closer to 35 or so and I instantly jump on him, I dont remember exactly how much but more than a car and stay ahead till over 110, then i shut down.

He wants to run again, so we go again, this time I got a low rpm (all rolls)....and I merely hung with him and shut it down at 125 or so, he had gained about 2 cars by then....

All in all these were awesome races and I thought he would smoke me bad. I hung with him pretty well, and beat him 2 times...the first doesnt count so much i guess.

For those that dont beleive me, like I said his passenger videod all the races from his cell phone and I'll post those when I get them...

His car was loud and sounded mean, they were real cool as far as complimenting my car, they liked it a lot and thought it sounded pretty mean with the loudwhining and all.

As far as my mods, im stage 2 with the GM header, 3" dp-highflow-3"vibrant exhaust, Injen intake, ngk's, and thats about it.

it was automatic..takes it about 1-2 seconds for it to downshift,and for those 2 seconds the balt is about 1-1.5 cars ahead

either that or it was a 6 speed using 1st 3rd and 5th while racing lol

Have you been in a automatic GTO before?

It doesn't take 1-2 seconds to downshift unless you mash it where it is between gears.

Before its locked or it gets out of hand, please let me post videos cause that will show you.

I snapped a few pics with my cell phone. The first shows the rear and you can see the SLP plate holder, the 6.0 badge, and the after market exhaust (I think he said Corsa but dont hold me to it at all).

THe other picture shows the motor.

Don't listen to these guys, those GTO's are slow. Even with Intake, headers, exhaust and a tune they'd be hard pressed to keep up with s2 balts.

Next time I'd throw down some money if I were you. That dumb sapp in the GTO would probably be willing to lose his money!
