Stage 2+ S4 (who'd win)

Hell no I didn't race one with my 2.2, but my friend has a 2000 Audi S4 Stage 2 (Chip and Exhaust) plus gutted downpipes. What kind of mods would an SS/SC need to have some fun with this car. He says he's looking at something around 350+ at the crank.

(yeah i know I hate What If threads too, but sorry I just want to know)

For it to be a driver's race, the SS/SC would need in the neighborhood of 260 whp. The Audi's are heavy as hell, 3700lbs.

^^6 yeah at least, the TT 2.7 is a beast with mods, and they are as fast as a stock ss/sc when stock, so yeah 260 whp may do it... which stage kit?

Looking at roughly 325-350 hp out of that thing depending on which exhaust and chip he went with.

I think that's right around Intense Stage 5. Not sure, never looked into em. I did a rough estimation on power to weight, 260 whp would put the power to weight very very close, but the S4 does get the advantage on the launch though...so who knows. Can't really tell what would happen in a purely hypothetical situation.

Yeah so about 234-290 whp and 286-325 wtq depending on the maker of the chip

It depends a LOT on what year and what chip the guy went with. A good chip will net a whole helluvalot of hp. Tis what makes VW's and Audis so dangerous, if you've got someone who knows what they're doing they can make a badass car with not a lot of mods.

Yea until your turbo blows at which point the entire motor has to come out to change one, and while you're in there change both along with the steering unit and anything else that is a wear item. I have had way too many friends with this car with way too many problems including a bad steering unit costing 5400 to replace.

Anyway, the S4 will be fast, probably in 2.6 pulley territoy.

Yeah... Sorry to say the S4 would win. The 'gutted out pipes' you mention are most likely Piggie DP's. If it's a S2+ w/ the original K03's, GIAC and Piggies... I don't think there's a street legal Cobalt running at the moment that could take it.

You hit the nail on the head with my setup my friend is talking about.
Giac-x
asp tru-dual
piggies

I really want to see how I'd fare against a stage 2. The only vid I've seen of an ss vs s4 was a stage 2 s4 against a stock ss. How are you guys top end wise? The stock k03s on my car run out of steam very quickly especially with my chip (giac is very aggro mid range then tapers out of boost very quickly after ~5500-6k).

Why is everyone asuming it's a TT?? Ya'll aren't talkin Audi TT are ya?? lol. I have come across a guy out in PA that had a 4 door Audi S4 twin turbo, nice guy, but his car was a beast. But then, I was driving my 04 Tblazer LS with Jet module, throttle body spacer, CAI, and cat-back. That was his daily driver by the way, his other car was a Supra puttin around 500hp to the wheels, he built the motor himself.

Are they heavy?? Cause I'm reading that they are postin about 250hp and 258ft lbs, but with parasitic loss through drive-train, and if they are truely heavy, then it might be a good run
