...so... who won the races? Your post baffles me.

The 13.2 SRT8 run said it was stock, with something like a 45F ambient temperature.

From everything Ive seen, the SRT8 beats the TrailBlazer SS. Just my 2c.

Show you real times???? Just because you saw one person run a great time doesnt mean they all run those times, maybe that one was a factory freak, do you know that. The times I listed are average times from real people posting timeslips. I honestly dont really care because I dont own either of them nor do I wish to buy any of them, so I'm not gonna show you "real times"myself.....read above, those are "times" they're suppose to run. Either way the srt8 is faster...I could careless about what everyone else thinks.

Like I said...do you have any links to these, because I'd like to see them. I'm not denying that the srt didnt lose. But if those ss's were rear wheel drive and not the awd version, then on a highway roll it probably would lose. But from a dig, with two good drivers, the srt-8 should still have a slight edge.

This is true, the srt-8 doesnt have many options, where as the TB has much more to offer. As to which looks better...I think that's more of a personal preference...I think both are very nice. Not that the "vette engine" isnt sweet, because it definately is.....but the 6.1 hemi is pretty sweet also....not to mention the fact the srt-8 sounds alittle meaner.

GC SRT8 can be beaten by a TBSS with just a Torque Converter.. the GC's are faster stock, about .3 or so, in real life, forget the mags, I have run 3 of them at the track, gives you as good idea about how quick they are. there's no tunning for the Hemi's, that kills them, whereas the SS can be tuned to the *****, and yet be able to run reg 93 w/o any issues. here's a vid of an SRT8 vs an SS, jeep has a CAI, GSM fan mod, Kooks LT's and full cat back (also a 100shot, not used, he has gone 12.0s) the SS is mine with just the mods in the sig.. and if anyone whines about the DR's on my truck, the truck has gone 12.6 @106 on stock tires, the DR's were on to see what kind of 60' I could get..

12.54 vs 12.72

I wonder if I had met you or someone you know with a TB SS..At the time I owned a silver 04 TB LS with probably the first and only true CAI on that motor. I talked with someone with an SS at ATCO towards the end of summer, he gave me a pointer on launching mine. (late powerband on the L6's) He mentioned ya'll swapping out the converters from the L6's into the SS's because they have a higher stall or something of that nature. Anywayz...Them TB SS's ain't nothing to laugh at. I believe all he had at the time was borla exhaust and maybe a slight tune and he was hittin high 13's.

When I was in the market for another car I tried to buy a Typhoon, been a fan of them for years. They are not easy to find and tend to move pretty fast, I tried to buy at least 3 Typhoons along with 2 Syclones and missed every one of them. I finally got so frustrated with it that I just went down to the dealer and bought my SS/SC.

As much as I love the Cobalt I would still rather have one of those trucks, I am sure that at some point I will. They are absolute monsters from a dig.

A guy I work with has the 6.1L HEMI Cherokee SRT-8. He gave me a ride in it, and that bitch is no slouch. It freaking romps and pulls hard. That AWD and those wide ass tires make it stick in even in the rain. Not sure about the TB SS, but the Cherokee is a bad mamma jamma.

you are all wrong, the fastest suv is the fornasari rr450. it will smoke the living **** out of either of those cars. the srt-8 IS the fastest suv for under 100,000 bucks, but there are faster suv's. The ml63amg is also probably in the running for fastest under 100k. i hate magazine racing, but since they are really the only absolutely legitamate testers, going by those the srt-8 is faster, but since we always see faster track times in real life (i.e. caranddriver running a 12.4 with a z06 and a 13.1 with a gt500 <<<both horribly slow compared to the norm) i would say it is close enough to say that the tb and the srt are pretty much equal. the fornarsi is alot faster, but it really isn't technically a production vehicle.

that's "OUR" TBSS.. it aint no joke.... and will be faster by next season.. that truck idles drives, runs like stock.. only has a CAI/Tune an underdrive crank puley (overdrive Alt pulley) and a Precision Industries Vigilante Converter..that's it and the SOB runs 12.5's all day long.. that was his first time out with it as well... do you remember your first time out? how much quicker is your car now? lol... the SRT8 is a beautiful truck, just too much $$$ he bought that 2WD loaded (LT2 pkge, all exc Nav) for 30.5k. jeeps here go for 45k..

as for the Typhoon.. yeah it was hot...13yrs ago... no comparison, plus the fact it was 28k (13yrs ago)... bottom ends were ****, and would break as soon as you started modding them, it took a long time to get them in the 12's reliably.. something todays TBSS does routinely.. just an FYI..

Chevy Trailblazer = GMC Envoy = Olds Bravada right?

I think it would be pretty awesome if someone were to swap the TBSS' drivetrain into a Bravada.
