Don't forget however, the cost of maintenance for an Evo is pretty high. The stock Advan's that come with the Evo are good for maybe 15k. If you're set on replacing them with the same tire, factor in $250/tire. That's a quick $1k for tires alone. And depending on your driving style, that could be in a year! Factor in brake pads etc, and it can add up...

The IX with the larger turbo and MIVEC are putting down nice numbers without to many mods. Stock, I believe they are dyno'ing around 260-270 at the wheels. Which means they are most likely underrated from the factory. The addition of a TBE and a flash will get you over 300awhp. I got a Megan TBE exhaust for $550. A flash or custom tune ranges from $200-$600. So, for less than $1000, you are talking a good 50awhp gain.
