if he wins his car is faster .... if i win my car is faster or i am just a better driver...

like i said i will race from a dig then a roll

You guys really need to cut this roll crap out, it is embarrassing. Stop being too scared to ask for SPACE. I race stock Cobras, STIs, EVOs, LS1/2, etc... from a dig for cash, I just ask for SPACE. Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose.

from a dig, 5-10mph roll, then from a 2nd gear roll ... let him decide the speed so he can choose his optimal range.

sti update

i raced the sti i was talking about earlier this week ... and the outcomes are as follows..

from a dig the sti won but not by much i was at his rear bumper hangin in there i got a descent lauch too....

from a 35 roll i won by a car in half ... i put 2 cars on him right away then he started catching up with me around 60 we shut them off at 85...

from a 5 roll i still won but was only by a half car length this was the most excting one of all

thanks to all you for helping me with your tips on how to out smart the sti.....

2 out 3 wins isnt bad.... i need to practice some more b4 i go after him again

how do you know we are a younger crowd? yes i am younger, but my dad who is now in his 50's has been racing at the track and on the street (in his younger days) since he could drive, i asked him whether or not roll racing was just a ricer thing in his opinion and he told me the reasons did it when he was around which is where i got my info from. so i guess those camaros and other muscle cars he raced and raced against, from a roll sometimes, were rice?

They were rice OR very slow. All they had to do was ask for space, instead of going from a roll. Just know that your dad is not end all source of street racing knowledge and I would venture out to say he wasn't as big a street racer as you seem to think.

ha i love how you like to jump to conclusions. i dont know how big my dad was, im not trying to brag like my dad is better than your dad or anything like that, my point is that i dont believe roll racing is rice if done in a fair manor, and i think its stupid for you to come on here and just start trying to "educate" us

That is your opinion and it was your dad's opinion that it was not rice. I am still young and believe me I use to think roll racing was cool too, until I started hanging out with guys that have been street racing for a long time and race 7, 8, 9 second cars on the street and none, I MEAN NONE of them go from any speed other than zero mph.

Drag/street racing is from a dig, so set your car up to do it's best from a dig. If all you(not your particulart stu) do is race from a roll, do not confuse yourself and others and think you are really street racing... all you are doing is being unsafe and going speeds that your car and more in likely the other car have no business going.

Feel free to "THINK" this is stupid, but until there are tracks for roll racing it is fact.

On some street courses they go from a standing start. But for sure they do not roll race.

I have never seen dale jr or jeff gordon slow down to the same speed and then honk 3x.

For you.... return via e-mail please
