Thanks, not trying to build a race car like lsjwannab here though. I WAS going to sell it, but I chose not to. I had another car kinda taking my interest, but I like my GTO.

slow sho, you are completely full of **** on this one. here's 2 things you have going against you. 1) i work at a honda dealership in the service dept, for the sales dept. 2) i have 2 SS's, one of them being a 2.4 with the f23 5 speed. i'd put the 2.4 w/ f23 against a new Si any day and expect the Si to just edge it out. There is no way a 2000 Si could have touched it.
however, you are correct that a car with no tq and lots of hp could run cicles around a car with tons of hp. that is because the only way the tq-less car is going to do any sort of donuts is to drive around the other car while the tq monster is just staying in one spot doing the donuts. i'll bet that the number of rotations the tq monster does will greatly outnumber the tq-less car.

????? I'm failing to see this. For example. Diesels are not geared for racing at all. However if you mod them (we'll say a duramax diesel) the torque can get well over 1000 lb ft. But it only has 500 something hp. And the bitch will walk all over our cars. that tells you torque means something. I might not be the best at explaining it but I know torque is a lot better than what you are making it out to be.
He said its only gearing hp and weight that matters, so it must be the truck is SOOO LIGHT
Some people think they know EVERYTHING.
