He's got a new cam and a supercharger to put on it. Plus a stall 3200 rpm stall kit.
But thats going on near the end of the year. Sadly this means I won't be able to race him once I have Stage 2, 2.9 Nates Pulley, Cobra H/E, and KDW 2 tires. And if I do lose this race I could own up on him with the above mods. Of well guess I'll have to torture the LT1 firebird come spring.

Feet what? We went to run tonight. Started the first run with me 12 back I think it was. Both had a shitty launch since it wasn't fully dry from the rain earlier today. Truck pulled out I was coming up hard and only behind him like a car, but I was in the wrong lane and hit the brakes and got behind him so we didn't get a good clean run. He is saying he beat me by 1 and I am saying I hit the brakes before the finish line. So we have got to do it a different day. We were going to run again, but as we stopped to talk the truck stopped up ahead near the starting line so we decided to bail and do it again later. Any cobalt ss's with like a 50 shot or stage 2 or above in Orlando and know a place on the streets to run I should be going there sat. So contact me if you wanna run. We also got it on video, but the guy that filmed can't see worth **** at night so you can't tell **** from the video. It looks like someone is playing with red neon bracelets or something.

Well I have bad news.
We did run but we didn't get the camera we wanted and had to use a different one that unfortunately didn't record worth ****.
We only got one race.
It was dark.
The launch was him honking three times and hitting the gas. From ten (roughish) I could barely hear his horn over my engine rev. There was some confusion in the launch so we both did not take off right away and when we realized we were going we didn't get to launch hard. As we got within 100 feet of the finish line truck lights came up on the horizon. We both disagree cuz it's hard to see the 1/4 mile mark lines at night. I'm pretty sure I passed the line with one car ahead of him although he was closing that gap in a matter of a second or two. Course we can't confirm it do to bad tape and not seeing the lines in the video. The Truck passed us right after John pulled in behind me and the truck stopped at the 1/4 mile finish line. Truck was plain white which undercover cops use around here so we decided not to temp fate and left.
So cliff notes:
crappy launch on both ends
Only one race with no decidable outcome
Possible cop stopping to see if we turned around so we left
Going to re-race another day when we can use the better camera and during the daytime.
Sorry to disappoint guys.
I'll get that race again.
Probably next Thursday.
edit: Damn John you beat me to the post.

Sorry, but a 98 LS1 Camaro or T/a is going to be Closer to a mid 13 second car at best. You can't say that ALL LS1's are low 13's to high 12's bone stock. The 01 Camaro Z28's have an LS6 intake manifold which the other years do not, BUT I think the 00's have a slightly more aggressive cam.
Also keeping in mind that he has 20" wheels and 2 15" subs in the trunk, I would say that the race would be closer then everyone thinks. I'd say closer to 3 car lengths at most and it should be a good race if the Cobalt guy knows how to drive. Good luck...
By the way, to the T/A owner...I may have missed it, but for you to come onto a Cobalt website and talk with the slight attitude without starting a thread to welcome yourself to the site, as well as starting off the way you did WILL cause Cobalt owners to be on the defensive. FYI...

It was on a back road with no houses on it. No one normally travels it, its an old road that no one really uses. Last time we were out there 2 hours racing and no one came down the road. It was just bad timing tonight I guess. Like I said summer time I will be in Kansas, but then everything should be on my car .

Back road not used since highway came in.
We saw the truck 1/2 mile up the road at least.
It's one long running road with not turn on streets just straight road for a good mile.

Thanks man. I wanted one since I was 16 and worked my ass off and saved up to get it and my dads work hauled one for a used car lot and I had enough money saved up I payed cash for it 2 days after I saw it. Best decision I ever made in my opinion lol.
