How do you figure? A base model RSX is slow as *****. A base RSX is like a low 16 second car. His story is definitely plausible.

lol at the v6 RSX though. Moronic ricers!

let me make this known because I had a very similar situation. base RSX with manual 2005 model - 160bhp and 141btq. I dont know what year his was but my friend had the 05 and challenged my 2006 SS/NA and I barely pulled on him when I had just a GMPP intake and he had a AEM CAI. We havent raced since but I know with my extra mods I could easily walk him so whats the point. I'm willing to bet that your friend does not have driver mod and completely fucked up that race and you had him once the race became power to weight related. either way even if he mastered his manual the RSX has minus at least 20 torque on you so you would catch him anyway if he had a perfect launch and match it.

There are some 2.4 Cobalts around here that give Type-S's a run for their money. I'm not saying a 2.4 is faster than a RSX Type-S but it happens. Since you could barely beat a base RSX, what makes you think your driving skills are any better than the average joe?

i autocross a toyota supra and drift a Nissan Skyline R33 on weekends for fun. but i didnt claim that my skills were better than anyones. Though I dont see how a 2.4 Cobalt can give a Type S a run for any money if its stock for stock. Its kind of stupid if you run a modded SS/NA versus a bone stock Type S. he will just laugh at you if you fail and will claim that you have so many mods if you win because he is stock. either way i just wanted to lay out the numbers and facts of both vehicles and how my own personal stories related.

But you're right. Generally from what I've seen the Base models are not TOO far behind the Type-S models (stock for stock). Especially from a dig since they share the same 1st gear.
there we go. thats probably what it was. it was pretty quick, yea i guess it wasent a ass handing but i sure dident win. but it shot flames it was tight.
