Stock SS S/C Vs. Stock SRT-4
Finally caught a stock srt 4 which is really rare. From a dig i jumped on him by almost a car or so, then second he got dead even with me, and third he put about a 1 1/2 cars to 2 cars on me. Then from a 20 roll i jumped about a half a car and then same thing as from a dig, third gear pulled about 1 1/2 to 2 cars on me. Good race, but they have sick top end. he was an 05

Don't be tricked by an SRT-4 owner that it is stock, one might be running on an all stock motor but someone who knows what they are doing can tinker with the stock motor and it makes a difference, since we have superchargers instead of turbo's our options are limited. My friends SRT-4 is a prime example of what free mod's are capable of. His SRT-4 can run a 13.2 with only an after market BOV and K&N Intake.

Sounds about right stock for stock, the srt should pullslightly in 3rd and 4th, it's a drivers race in my opinion with a slight top end advantage to the neon. Get some mods and have some fun with him

It is crazy what you can do with those things. The SRt's put out around the same boost as our cars do stock and ive seen him get a screw driver out of his trunk and the next thing you know his 20psi gauge doesn't go high enough to read the boost.

There is a dyno on that site of one of those having 400lb/ft almost through the whole power range! Ummm...not a little tempting for ***** and giggles?

Plus as far as transporting kids...I don't need have any myself so I'd strip the interior and everything and get some slicks.

I agree w/ the whole drivers race thing. I never raced a stock one in stock form but I did race one when I had intake and exaust. It was very close me winning by about 1/2 a car up to 100 mph. This was from a 40 roll.
You win some and you lose some.
Some SS's are faster then other SS's stock, and some SRT-4's are faster then other SRT-4s stock. Obviously if a faster SS goes against a slower SRT then the SS will win and vice versa.
also Crappy drivers vs good drivers.

My buddy had one stock other than a cat back I was dead even till he hit third and fourth then pulled 1-2 car i gave up soon as he started the pull that is when I was stock. I raced him last night and would have pulled if my clutch wouldnt of started slipping 2nd and 3rd gear but as the way it was we were battling nose to nose, i will have to agree those are pretty insane

Good race dude, it was expected though. SRT4's have the TQ to spin all day with a bad driver, or just go fast in a straight line. Next time race a 03 srt4 <stock>. They dont have the LSD and lack a bit of TQ, we have to check your intercooler wires man. I try to check everyones.

I have had my run in with plenty when I was stock and it was more of a drivers race than your incounter. Where you shift going into 3rd and 4th really matters since it's such a close match up from the get go.
I ran into a few on the interstate and was never pulled on it was always close but never a walk away.
