TC VS 300C SRT8 "supercharged"
I saw this guy earlier and was waiting for him to pass me to see if it was truly a SRT. After I confirmed, I decided, a lil fun isn't too much to ask for. So I drop the car in 3rd at like 50, if I even attempted 2nd, I wouldn't get traction and I didn't think I was slow enough to do 2nd. Anyways, we take off, I get a half a car on him and keep pulling till the end of 3rd.
I have a charge pipe, intake, downpipe, muffler delete, and the Trifecta tune at 22lbs right now.
He had a S/C on it, tuned with Diablo, intake, exhaust. I came home and looked at the specs on the car. Technically he should have raped me. IDK what happened lol.

I've driven stock forms of both, well the SRT8 had an exhaust but big ******* deal and there's no way in hell you would've won.
He was probably just amusing you, by pressing the throttle down a quarter of the way lmao. Why is it that everytime somebody claims an amazing win, they just assume the other person was full out racing them and not just amusing them?

Well, the SRT-8 is approx. 4200lbs, so a full 1200lbs more than the Cobalt. Now the engine keeps up as far as power/weight ratio (1:10), but the Cobalt with 22psi trifecta and those bolt-ons should be hitting at least 300whp, matching the power/weight ratio of the SRT-8.
Now, if he is getting even 20-30whp above 300 in the Cobalt, it's conceivable (with a poor/mediocre SRT-8 driver) that it would be a good fight. After all, not everyone with upgrades knows how to drive.
Stock 2008 300C SRT-8 (OP didn't mention car year) did 13.2 1/4mi, presumably in the hands of a pro/experienced driver. Cobalt with tune and bolt-ons as mentioned in OP could do that as well, since we got stockers getting into the 13s.

Srt8=425hp stock
Plus the sc it will add another 100+hp so it will put the srt8 around 550ish with good tune..
So a 300hp cobalt will loose badly.. Even though its lighter the srt8 has 200+hp on him... Do the math

track times mean nothing on the street
most streets aren't prepped the way a track is nor can every driver drive like a pro
in addition to the fact that a 1/4 mile trap speed means nothing from a highway roll
