Terminator Cobra w/2.3 Whipple Vs E85 Bolt-On SS/TC *VIDEO*

An honorable death to a 500+rwhp car, even if he is on a rough tune.

330whp/380wtq? I dunno really. There's another guy locally that has an almost identical car (mod-wise) with a very similar tune from the same tuner as me that put down 332whp/369wtq on a slipping clutch.

I can't dyno my car until I upgrade the clutch because I know it'll slip in 3rd on a dyno. It doesn't slip in 3rd on the street unless you romp on it below 3000rpm, which is a no-no anyway so I don't do it.

Hey everybody, owner of the Cobra here. Sonicyeller is a friend of mine and we just ran a quick roll race for fun. I figured he had too many vids of his car smokin' fools, so I thought I'd show him what it was like to see taillights for a change.

I just got the car back on the road after 6 years. This was literally the second time I had driven it since putting it back together. I wrote a rough 87 octane tune because I currently don't really have a way of datalogging it or even checking A/F ratios. I was actually running 91 in the tank on the 87 tune to try to keep things safe. Don't want to torch a brand new motor. I said it's a "rough" tune because I've been watching the long and short term fuel tables on an old Predator tuner I have and they're all over the place. The ECU keeps throwing "System Too Rich" codes. And the timing is very conservative.

Really? I don't think so bub. And as for that 100 whp, I'll be making more than that soon enough. The Whipple is loafing at 13 psi of boost right now. When I put the big pulley on it I should be closer to 20. Just gotta get my tune cleaned up first.

Oh, and I still have a bottle I can throw back in the trunk...

pshhh, you might wanna research what a termi with 20psi 2.3L 93 tune with nos does before trying to correct him. That's just a little bit out of Cobalt territory. Well 99 percent of the street legal ones anyways.

So how many cars did this end up being roughly? Just saying Ford on his set-up would probably be a good match up for it. Cobra with another 100whp is only territory for a few street legal Balts on here. 600-650whp Cobra is Gunna puppy kick most Balts.

You can go as high as 25psi on this set up, now factor say a 75 or 100 shot and you got yourself a 700-725 whp car with over 800ftlbs of torque and a perfectly linear power band. If you sat in a 700whp v8 with huge torque you would know what I'm talking about when I say 99 percent of street driven dd cobalt's are no match. Not to mention the massive power band the termi will have compared to the balt and the fact that it's rear wheel drive.

^^This. Once WyoCobra's car is turned up, there's no chance in hell an SS/TC is even remotely in the same league, even with a larger turbo. I would reason we are talking 130mph trap speeds with it turned up, at high altitude (6000ft). As it sits, the way he pulled on me, he's gotta probably be trapping atleast 116mph or maybe more.

I will have to finish up my DSM to even remotely compete.

Those Cobras are no joke. I ran 1 from a 20 roll and a 40 roll like 2 nights ago and it looked like he was toying with me. He just constantly pulled on me and I was dumb founded. It was cool though cause I talked to the guy afterwards.

Not on here. According to this site SS/TC with tunes walk Termis with Whipples all day, even though when I go to the track they run mid 10s.

I don't see what the argument is , as the cobra sits in the vid Ford would be a pretty good match ,being how they are probably putting down close to the same numbers and the cobalt is a little lighter.

Now the cobra at full boost on a good tune is another story.

But to say a cobalt would never be in the same league is kind of a stretch seeing as how ZZps car traps 133 on a ZFR wich is in the same ballpark as 20psi kb cobras...but its not your avrage balt.

Cmiller was trapping 135 with just slightly more power than what I made. That car in the vid couldn't be making over 475 on 87 octane. You all are giving it too much credit. A 2.3L whipple is a small blower....throw on a 2.9L or a 3.4L and make big boy numbers...

Who the **** cares. A mustang is a white trash car. A cobalt is a car for girls... And s'mores are amazing. Honestly who gives a ****, I beat a and 500whp Evo, mark Whitte beat a murcielago in my car by three car lengths in my car, I murder the **** out of my friends cobra, I **** on my wife's Hyundai elantra. Honestly quit crying.

On a serious note, the mustang is a v8 boosted. I hope it would make more power and be quicker. The cobalt is a 4 cylinder. Omg a 4 cylinder can beat a v8! Wtf? Imagine that...

Another serious note, watch "machine gun preacher". Watched it the day it came out on movie and holy **** !!! Awesome movie...
