I think you need to do some more "research". I made 640 rwhp on 91 octane. That was with my old motor, though, which had 1mm oversize intake valves and some really mild cams, but with a slightly lower-than-stock compression ratio (8.0:1). It might make 600-620 now at 18 psi because it's a totally stock motor, but everything else is the same. It's not hard to make 600+ rwhp on pump gas with a V8. Yes, you have to be a little careful with the timing, but I'm not working with a 2.0L. And Sonicyeller isn't "insane" to think I was making 500 rwhp that night. I'd say he's dead on. I was on 91 octane, but with a canned 87 tune and only making 13 psi.
Wrong again. With the same exact mods (intake, pulley, catback, tune) with the stock blower my Cobra made 460 rwhp. And that's right in line with every other Cobra I've seen. So, again, Sonicyeller is dead on. And the stock Eaton makes MORE low-end torque (but less HP) at the same boost levels because it's a Roots-style blower versus the Twin-Screw Whipple. You must be blind, too, because my Cobra pulled on Sonicyeller's Cobalt faster on the top end. He was right beside me through 2nd gear, but I pulled away harder the faster we went. If your local boy is only making 500 rwhp with a built motor, a ported blower and E85, there is something seriously wrong with his tune or his car (slipping belt, etc.). I made 505 rwhp with a ported stock blower, pulley, tune, intake, catback, 91 octane and nothing else (630hp/780tq on a 125 shot with this setup ). And, again, that's pretty standard.
