I voted for the G8 gt, I wanted one when i got the cobalt cause I had to have 4 doors and I wanted v8 power but i could hardly find any at all, and the ones that I could find were going for 30,000+ just cause they could. That and I did not want to buy from an extinct car (humm wait the cobalt is...well anyways). But I will tell you this, liter for liter, pound for pound and dollar for dollar, when talking about new cars the SS/TC sedan was the Bees Knees.

I watched this video and other videos, and have always wondered... Do people realize that if you hold a camera out of the window all you will hear is KHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH from the wind??? Even with the window open and camera close to it, you will still get wind.

G8 GT is a 103-105 traps car but from a roll the TM doesn't have much if any of an affect, so the car will be faster than what is perceived based off of 1/4 traps. I'd be willing to bet if you put the camera man in the G8, the SS/TC would pull the same, maybe a little more.

As was already said, a "well tuned" SS/TC is going to freight train a stock G8 GT when arguing this "point"

You're actually right, I ran 11.85 in -1500DA, that is a fantasy day at the track. So is a 13.5 @ 104 in a stock Cobalt. You need super negative DA and you need to trick the learn down for your run.

13.5 @ 104 is nowhere near an accurate representation of how a stock SS/TC will perform. 13.9-14.0 @ 100-101 is right on with how they run.

I'd be willing to bet my 13.5 run was at -1500 if not -2000 that day. No trick to anything with the car...just good track prep and weather. With that being said I have ran one 13.7 and a bunch of 13.8s at 103mph. The car has even trapped 103.2mph on a 95 degree day.
