Two kills within ten minutes

Okay, so I don't know what's up with the young punks down in the San Jose area, but on the way home from work today, I walked all over a 2000 BMW 325i driven by some yuppie kid, then about ten minutes later, stomped a mudhole in a Civic HB a mile long. Maybe it's the spoiler, I dunno LOL... Thought I share my first two kills with y'all. L8r!!!

yes
the SS/SC large spoiler is a big " race me " flag to many people out there on the streets.

There's an Integra here in my town that one day came up along side me and rev'd and jumped around next to me, then after a while he was maybe 2 car lengths in front of me, and since the road was pretty open I was gonna jump up next to him to speak to him but soon as he heard me on the gas he punched it, so I followed suit, caught him and flew past him in no time. I sorta indicated to him after a bit to follow me onto a side street to stop and chat, but after I turned he just buzzed away not even looking in my direction from what I could tell.
seems all it has is a muffler.. and it had temporary plates on it so he just bought it and probably think's it's fast or something. (I wanted to at least suggest to him that he get a turbo for his car or something if he wants to act all badass to just end up losing to a 100% stock Chevy, but I guess he's not into talking, just revving)
And ever since then whenever I wind up passing him (opposite directions on same road etc.) he'll rev all loud and I just shake my head and laugh.

Then there's been a civic sedan around with a body kit on (looked rather ugly to me, but at least it was matching the color of the car.. even though his paint was fading/flaking some on the upper doors of the car), and maybe an exhaust.. and he tried to race me at stoplights about 5 times in a row even though I clearly pulled at least a car length every time (each time I nailed the brakes hard after getting to 40-45 because we were on city streets).. I guess he thought "oh this next time I'll get him" after each time being clearly beaten.
he had 2 or 3 of his buddies with him too, when we were side by side I'd look over and absolutely none of em would even be looking in my direction...

Also a V8 Firebird has rev'd at me, followed me into my work parking lot and at least chatted a bit (even if he and his buddies were shirtless, smoking, punk kids). At least they were impressed that my 4cylinder has about 210hp

My first race ever was once again a guy with a "oooh look it has a wing I wanna race it!!" reaction when he saw my car, a civic hatchback (which I have been told by a friend is a gutted car with an engine swap, turbo, excessively loud exhaust of course) saw me and he darted and weaved through traffic to catch up to me and rev'd etc. , and once on the Interstate we sorta raced. that one was pretty much even in a rolling 'race' from maybe 45-90 then I pulled away (and either he shutdown around 100-110 or he really has no top end maybe because as soon as I would begin to pull on him it seemed I would suddenly be flying away from him heading to 120 while he dropped behind). we pulled off same exit and I pulled into the left lane of the road to let him along my right side, gave him a thumbs up and I woulda motioned to him to talk, but he was blabbing on his cellphone to someone.. and it was starting to rain, so I just let him go on his way.

and yes, street racing is dangerous and not smart and risks your life etc. so try not to make it a habit no matter how much all the kids out there rev and try to get something started, no matter how much they may deserve to be shown that their car isn't the amazing thing they think it is.

(I like to think I am at least controlling the urge somehwat as I have only had 4 'racing' incidents in the 10 months I've had the car)

The other day my friend and I were out, he was driving, and this dakota chirped his tires and took off at the light. Next light I told my friend to 'do it'. Green and the dakota took off, we blew him away and then another light. He rolled his window down and said it sounded good,
"what ya got doen to it?"
"Stock"
"Na-uh" Said with a you-gotta-be-shittin-me look (LMAO at this part everytime)
"Yea, factory supercharged, 12.5 psi. w/ 210whp 203 trq"
"Froma fourbanger chevy? Huh, what do ya know. Nice car"

I just find it funny... like psi really matters. A larger supercharger can run lower psi and put out more power than your supercharger.

Maybe he's got one of those factory freaks that pumps out the extra half LMAO...but in the same respect my boost gauge reads 12.5psi in like 3rd at WOT... but we all know just how accurate those gauges REALLY are...

I actually said 12 psi, not 12.5. I had just got done changing my info sheet that I use for car shows stating GM specs on the ss/sc. I wouldn't have bothered with the psi and hp/trq #'s but his face was too priceless I felt like talking it up more than usual.
