I work at Vw and the r32's arnt all that they will get us off the line but we will catch them they are too heavy and 240hp is to the crank not the wheels we dont even have to worry about the new gti's they have 200hp to the crank and they weigh a little bit more than the old gti's if you race a r32 you should walk it but watch out for the ones that are chiped they get good horsepower gains with chips

j/k I've been agreeing with that all along.

j/k... Good luck.
One of my cars will be in the 12's by the end of the summer, too.

how can u compare a chipped 2.0t to a stock cobalt SS? chipped 2.0t's have yet to be realeased, also u cannot compare a MK3 VR6 to a mk4...your mentality is correct in stating that the power to weight ratio will be better in the cobalt but chipped 2.0t will be putting down 240whp...from what i have read and seen...If i were u guys i would stick to having fun with chipped 1.8t's....even these can give u a run for your money....

This thread was like high school math all over again! Confussing and pointless. The only way to prove who is right is to take an SS/SC with cai and a new GTI with a chip (when it's available) and have the same driver run them on the track.

Look, if youre not going to use that measley 1/4 brain mass in that thick skull of yours to contribute to an intellegent conversation, then just shut your pie hole.

I would try to show you how to properly use some simple(for everyone but you) physics equations to estimate the quarter mile times of the cars in question, but it would more in likely fly right over your head.
With that I am done with this thread. Feel free to insult my intelligence some more when you have none. Maybe talk about your brilliant math skills some more and how they are "dead" on. Everybody I have shown this thread to, can't even believe you know how to use a computer. So I guess you at least have something to brag about to the kids on the small bus.
"5.8%"

I hear alot of arguments about what car can beat what, but the way I see it is what the car can do from the factory. it really gets anoying when you hear about hondas stomping camaros or supra, but people who talk trash forget that out in the streets every thing is ditermined by how deep a person's pocket is. Any car has the potential to beat any car, but when people start arguing about how their is no way my can lose because it is American or Japanese. That is just plain ignorant. As for the cobalt ss losing to a gti I highly doubt it. .

Why did VW name it the GTI they should have just named it the "5.8%" that is its constant right??? I can not contribute anything intelligent because you have a black hole between your ears. You suck up smart stuff and spit out stuff that "special" people would make fun of you about. You don't even understand BASIC PHYSICS.

A hypothesis is a "scientific guess", which means that the math I was stating was a theory. A THEORY IS NOT A FACT.
AS I SAID, YOU PROVE ME WRONG WITH A THEORY, OR FACTS OF YOUR OWN AND YOU WILL HAVE A CASE. All you have proven thus far is you can make short bus jokes, and wise cracks about "special" people.
Kind of makes me wonder, how do you know soo much about "special" people, and "special" people jokes?
Are you in denial of your own "specialness"? You were the cool kid on the short bus, werent ya?

Man, it would nice to have that stuff available for the Cobalt that quick!! I guess, that's GM for ya! Did anyone see Geraldo Riveria rip GM a new ass on his show last night? He called the Chevy Equinox pathetic!

Honestly, though, both GM and Ford have made at least a few steps in the right direction recently.
-LS4's in the Impala's, GP's, etc.... (but FWD+V8? No thank you.)
-Ford Fusion has gotten pretty good reviews... (but will it sell?)
Anyway, we got way off-topic
Just lock this thing...
