weekend of kills. gto killed.

two srt 4's, a bolt on + cam lt1, 6.0 auto gto, intake header exhaust, tune. el camino.

friday night.

went out cruizin around with some friends. i wasn't trying to run anyone, i was working on a new map for my car. sitting at the back of the pack, im being paced by a srt4. about 2 miles of this, i start to get annoyed. finally, i drop down to 40 mph, downshift to second. to my suprise, he honks it off. nail the gas, lose traction. doh! pedal it a bit to get it back, pull ahead. hit third pulled about car and a half if i had to guess. shut down half way through third.

saturday night.

i was playing lead car to distract people away from the other people who wanted to get some runs in. so i took some people on a wild goose chase {about 30 cars} a nice young lady in a srt4 pulls up next to me. pacing me again. {this annoys me} so i drop to second at 40 again. she honks {this is much nicer} break the tires loose again. not as bad this time. pulled a car. hit second, pulled another car. she about **** herself when we go back to the meeting point.

lil ole lt1 camaro. consistant 110 mph car. picks me on {really, i don't understand this} i figured it was going to get pulled on. not so much. i honk it at 35. both stab the gas, i had a car on him by the top of third. second run with em. much better run. i honk it at 35 again. i only pulled a fender and it stayed there till the top of third.

sunday at the track
wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

first run. do the burn out, stage the car, tree drops. slicks squeal with mercy, hit second, squeal some more. third? yea, i missed third. a lot. the el camino i was runnin catches up to the rear door. i find third, wait for the boost to build again, rocket down the track.

12.27@120. 1.85 short time.

second pass.

burn out, stage. there is a nice spice read gto next to me. ohhhhhhhhhhh suck it gto boys. he's going down. hard. third yellow drops. sidestep the clutch. slicks scream in first, nail second, slicks scream again. nail third, get out of the groove. fighting the car to keep it straight. hit 4th. rocket to the traps.
gto lost, big time.
10.93@134 mph.
same short time.

the sunday runs were not a cobalt. just a 4 door honda civic.

my personal best in a fwd car.

i usually get traction about 55-60 mph from a 40 punch. depending on road surface and angle of the road.

noe, haven't dynoed the detuned setup. if i had to guess, id say around 272-275. im not leaning on the car as hard as i was. dropped the timing down to 23.5 degree's from 25. and richened it up to 11.8 afr.

runnin the civic wasn't an easy task. i have a new found respect for the fwd guys with retarded hp.
