LOL, nice, I got the same reaction from a 600hp deisel truck who thought he was fast. Its so much fun to see peoples reaction to a cobalt outright spanking you.

I saw the description and laughed, people really don't think the cobalts are fast. But when you have ppl that throw rims and a fart can on a base and act like its the fastest thing ever people start to think no cobalt is quick.

I know a mustang guy that Hates cobalts. He says that if his mustang had supercharger or turbo too could smoke a cobalt lol. I told him a turbo balt woul spank him and he said "maybe but take the turbo off and ill make it my bitch" I feel like they dont like 4bangers lol.. or anything that is not a mustang

I had off from work one night, and went to a local car meet that was on facebook. Didn't know anyone there. Got with talking to a few kids. Seemed cool. Asked what I drove I said the cobalt over there and one snickers out loud. I didn't say anything to him, I let it roll off.
Storm was coming up, so I decided to leave early. Im going down the highway and I see lights coming up on me fast, it was the snickering guy (H22 Prelude with bolt ons) vs his buddy who was one of the guys I was talking to (Hawk eye STI with bolt ons). They both get in front of me and race, with the STI beating the lude.
Then the lude drops behind me, and the STI pulls up next to me. I figured sure why not. We were on a good 5-6 mile stretch of dead straight highway with no one on it. I let him honk and get the jump as that's what I like doing most of the time, then theres no argument that I jumped the horns. I freight trained past him and put a good 10 cars on him before I got out of it. Then slowed down, and looked over he gives me the middle finger and a disgusted look on his face and takes off again. I gave him a thumbs up and smiled and went on my way.
There will be d-bags no matter what the car make. Cant hold everyone accountable though for one persons actions.

Everyone around my area seems to know what Cobalts can do. No one ever wants to run me unless they are crazy built. Like the 2JZ Miata always wants to run. Mustang guys don't want to. I guess maybe because I always say Dig and a roll.

Yea I love when people doubt our cars. I remember when beating a 05 gt when it first came out from a 30 roll I'm only intake exhaust. Talk about butt hurt. He was furious that his new mustang couldn't beat a little old cobalt with over 100k miles haha

When I had my 06 SS/SC I raced a guy on a tall curved draw bridge. The guy had a V8 (to this day, I still don't know what the car is, but they're ugly and I see them everywhere) I know he had a V8 just from the sound, and he came up beside me and gunned it. I gunned it and we were neck and neck for a split second and almost instantly he had put about a half a car on me when we came to the end of the bridge where there is a stoplight and a ton of cars. I stopped in time but he didn't, and preceded to skid and drive right into the sand median and then barely miss a car and go into a ditch. As I passed him he gave me the thumbs up, and I gave him the nod. It's people like that who can practically almost kill themselves and destroy their car but still give me the thumbs up who are good car people and don't get angry. He had technically "won" but I feel as though we both lost haha.
