I dunno what it is with some LSJ drivers. I was with a bunch of Ion RL's at the track the other day... half of them couldn't break 10 seconds in the 1/8th. Wheel hop FTW. I laid down a 9.5... and one other guy that was stock ran a 9.4. Our group leader (stage 2 + bolt-ons) ran a 9.1. I ran 9.9 in the 1/8th back when I had my 2.4 automatic with just an intake. Guess some people just need more practice.

englishtown has a worse rep then atco i dont know what you are talking about. I've been to e-town multiple times and hated every one of them. I almost enjoy island drag more then etown, because if there isnt a top fuel competition the day before, the track prep is horrid.

engilshtown is prepped right about 80% of the time. atco is a outlaw track. both tracks have ups and downs (cross winds at englishtown arent fun at 176mph in a super comp dragster trust me).
as for the statement about englishtown being the best track....you wrong
the best track was Long Island Dragway. it was wreck about 4 years ago. it was the lowest to sealevel and was one of the first dragstrips ever made. the fastest track now is either raceway park in indiana or tapekia (sorry for the spelling).

I haven't qutie made it to Atco or even E-town as of yet, but I did a pull using my Interceptor gauge and it read 13.7 at 107, not sure how accurate, but it shouldn't be too far off considering I'm running GM stg2 with 2.79 pulley and Injen CAI...I haven't had many street races as of yet either, at least nothing really worth my time. Sorry no videos, but I smoke the **** outta newer Monte Carlo SS, I walked for about a car lenght on a stage 2 Srt4, drove away from a 03-04 Crustang GT with K&N intake, tune and exhaust. Oh yes, and I started to reel in an Srt4 with BOV and something else with GM Stg2 and CAI, but at the time I didn't know I had the Stg2, so I was shifting at 6500rpm..lol...
Anywayz...When it comes to messin around on the streets, anything can happen. Driver error happens, and it is dangerous to street race..I do once in a while, but much better to see what ya at the track. To the original poster, yes your times may be a bit slower at least it's no 15 or 16 second run. lol...It just takes some getting used to the car as well as the fact that without the right mods you really have to learn 1st gear otherwise you wheel hop like a ****. Our cars aren't unbeatable, but for what they can do, I can agree that we do get beat at times by some wack azz cars..
Oh yeah, I did get a chance to run a full size Dodge Ram Srt 10 with the viper motor. From a side by side dig, he drove away because I got the dreaded wheel hop and had to feather my shifting. He got stuck behnid me at the next light, and I noticed that as I shifted through to 2nd he was riding my ass waiting to go around so I gave him some. I walked away from him and kept pullin. Slowed down and just cruised, he got stuck behind me till he turned off after which he flashed his brights as to say nice run.

Well, he could have waved the middle finger if he were to actually be upset that he left by a Cobalt..lol..I would like to think he was trying to be nice, considering he made a last minute turn in the direction that I was going and flew up next to me...lmao
