WRX VS Cobalt SS
Who would win in a straight up race from a dig.I have some friends who think the SS will get smoked by the WRX not the STI. What do you guys think and has anyone raced one?

If your at a track and it's a 1/4 mile, you should lose by at least a half of a second to a 06'.
A 06' WRX should be able to run a 13.9-14.2 all day and a CobaltSS 05' or 06' should run 14.5-14.7 all day.
If your racing a 02'-05' they should run 14.2-14.4 all day and it might be a drivers race or you'll lose by .3.
This is of course all are stock and drivers are equal.

There's a video somewhere on this site of a stock 2.0L vs. a stock WRX at the track, and the WRX got the jump, but the 2.0L caught up to him and passed him at the end. i think he ran a 14.7 and the WRX ran a 14.8......even though the WRX got the initial lead.

That was George (CobaltSupercharged) from ss.net. Eric and I were video taping him while he was doing that run against the wrx. It was a close run but George took win. Sorta anyway, the wrx hit the light before the SS because George fell asleep in the gate and had a bad reaction time. But his ET/mph were still better.
As far as the stock wrx eating up the Cobalt, not hardly. Very even race in the 1320. All driver. On a roll a dead man could kill a stock wrx.

I don't know those 06 wrx's are kindy beastly. Can't say you have a shot at beating one with a competant driver from a dig through the quarter. Or any yeah wrx properly driven at that. Than again The one i raced at the track best time for the day was a 15 flat and my best time was a 14.8 .

all wrx's that are stock are ok...but they are faster than the ss/sc if the guy can drive.... first 2 gears are strong.........thats about it
ive raced several 06's a little better but i catch them and pass them before a 1/4 is over in my once stock srt4
