Y R all the GTO vs SS Threads Locked ?
#251
I love these threads. You can tell the level of maturity but what is said in a highly contested thread.
I got into on this topic a while back with a few folks. I know of a cobalt I tuned that can edge out a 6.0 GTO that is basicly stock here locally. Maybe he takes em by a car at 100. It isn't totally impossible, but it isn't likely as often as threads pop up around here about someone beating a GTO. As soon as someone starts modding a 6.0 it is pretty much game over unless the cobalt is running every mod in the world and some juice.
A V8 and a LSJ are just two totally different classes of vehicle. Nothing wrong with it. If I had a 4 cylinder that would run anywhere near a V8 I would be proud of it. Let's face it though, 90% of the kill stories regardless of what forum they are in are bullshit anyway. No need to get overly excited about it, most of us can sort through the bs and tell what is real and what isnt

The tax is:
At least 22.5 $0
At least 21.5 but less than 22.5 1,000

And I have had a B&M in my 03 Mustang GT , OE Hurst in my 2000 Camaro SS and a B&M in my 1991 Mustang GT.
It's just easier to blame terrible shifts on a shifter than to admit you suck.

Having driven several M6's, I didn't find the stock shifter that bad at all, I think it is better then a SRT's stock setup...
I can't say if a aftermarket shifter is better, you would hope so, but the stock unit isn't that shabby, atleast not to me..

I bought my car used with a B&M and have broken it 3 times now.....
I've tried a stock one, and the B&M is still an upgrade as long as it stays together.....
I'm buying a different shifter soon....

There is an update kit available for the B&M.
As for the stock shifter in a GTO it's much better than the spoon in a honey pot feeling F-Body shifters. A shifter in a GTO is a " to say I have it " or " I suck at shifting " modification. As for a 99-04 Mustang it's a must have piece.

LOL. I testdrove a mustang before getting my current car. it was an 01, on their used lot. I was like "WTF! Did they just take the shifter out of the Ranger and use it here?" The sales guy found that hilarious. Said he was glad that he wasn't the only one that wondered that exact same thing.

I have the "updated" B&M in mine. Needless to say the bolts have snapped in it 4 times and that has left us driving home stuck in fourth (always fun!)
The stock shifter will be going back in ASAP.

Dang I thought you meant mine.
Do you have the BMR brace too?
I am seriously just going to put my own decal on the Bar, I don't want it red like that one, I like the black.
I want to change all of my gauges out to Inverted polarization and Black and Red......Mmmmm
