you shouldve seen mine in my car when i had the kenne bell. Running around town sucked(probably 10-13mpg) on highway did decent/like a somewhat stocker. As long as i stayed out of boost i was ok. you dont buy/build performance cars when worrying about mpg.

idk klugsrt-4 bought his car w/o a resonator and he easily beat other srt-4's. Id say resonator first muffler last. dont need that thing sounding like a fast and furious rice rocket.

There is a vid on Youtube of a TBSS with the muffler delete and it sounded mean as hell. These have 3" exhaust from the factory with pretty much a straight through exhaust setup, so removing the muffler will be more for sound then performance.

Thank you, Blurple FTW! lol...She looks black at night, and depending on the light in the day, looks blue or purple. Ya'll seen the thread I posted a couple weeks ago about me hitting 13.53 right?? lol...
No worries for the Cobey peeps, I got ya'lls back with getting me some GTO's for snack time.
I love all GM, so this is all in good fun for me.

That's what I'm talking about. Yeah, I surprised the **** out of an 04 GTO from around my way. From a dig, there's no chance, from a roll depending on the speed, it's close...for now...lol...Come friday it won't be so close anymore, I'll be shooting for 05-06 GTO's and the like. We have MANY TBSS's in the 11's and 10's are going to be much more popular very soon with the way the aftermarket is growing for these. Hell, there are a couple that are 9 second worthy with traction, and those are AWD.. LMAO!

It's kinda like saying a 1996 Impala SS with a tune will take a 1996 Z28.

He ran an 11.8 or something like that, I know it was in the 11's smoking up all 4 wheels and at 5.5lbs. His motor is built to handle 14lbs, and he has dyno'd at 9.5 and made well over 500AWHP and I believe over 600AWTQ...Oh, he's putting a larger turbo on it and he's working a front mount kit for the TBSS's that will be BEASTLY
It's all good, but keeping in mind that they have ran high 12's as well as mid to high 13's, the 05-06 GTO's that is. I will be running a 13.2ish with ONLY a tune, weather my TBSS is heavy or not, that's going to be putting me in the range to be running with some stock ones and some of the slightly modded ones as well. Driver permitting...lol
Considering I ran a 13.53 bone stock, and I know she had a 13.4 in her, a tune will net me at least a 13.2. I throw in some E-fans, torque converter, and a CAI and I'll be running mid to high 12's all day long in my brick...

What I am saying is that the same good run that would put your TB at 13.2 with your mods would put a GTO at 12.8X.
Throw the common bonhead driver behind the wheel and yes you will keep up with LS2 GTO's. From a dig that is, from a roll thats another story.

I agree, the TBSS is not very aerodynamic. The gearing is much different as well. You have to keep in mind that I'm running 4.10 gears. Hole shot beast. lol

What year GTO, and is this stock for stock?? Do not underestimate the potential of a Cobalt with a good driver behind the wheel. Cobalts are alot like GTO's as far as driver capability goes.
#1022
Local Cobalt SS/SCs ran bests of 101-102 MPH at local tracks ... thats a couple of MPHs slower then a stock 04 GTO.
#1024
Well I guess if you happen to have one of the ten 13.0 second Cobalts maybe you will beat alot of 2004 GTO's.
But in most situations were talking stock vs stock and then even a bad driver shouldn't loose.
