Ha, it looks like I am the only one going from a GTO to a Cobalt.

I did it mainly for the fuel economy and four doors.

I don't think the #243 heads add as much power, because they have BIGGER combustion chambers, and stuff. Only main difference is that they have bigger runners, so you can support a big cam. I could throw those on with the fast intake and throttle body, and end up getting like 25rwhp, or I can do what I am doing and net more, and have the ability to run a high octane tune for the higher compression.

My cost = $500

#243 + FAST + TB = ~$2,000+ easy

Hell, my goat gets better gas mielage than my cobalt. When we go on long trips we have to take the "fuel efficient" car AKA the goat What a joke

No way the GTO should be getting better mileage. You must have a shitty tune. I was getting 28mpg average with my 2.7" and 60# and kate was getting even more like 30-32 average.

I don't have a tune.....just a 2.4 SS with an intake.

The coablt averages 24mpg AT THE MOST on long rides

The goat gets 28mpg

We're talking long rides here.....not stop and go right? In city driving I average 18mpg. The cobalt gets about 20 - 21 then.

I think it's gorgeous!

Besides, it's what the 2004 GTO was supposed to look like.

You can see a lot of the new camaro ideas within that old GTO concept. I think that concept was from 1999 or something.
