very nice...we got a guy on our local board with a Brazen Orange LS2 6 speed. Laid down 480whp, had a GT1 cam i think he said, ligenfelter heads, motor had upped compression a little, and oversized valves. Fully built rear diff too, all bolt ons, tuned at diablo sport

That is a load of crap unless you spend the first 20 minutes sitting in a parking lot.
In terms of running from 60 to 135, I'm ahead till about 105, then the tables turn and absolute hp takes over and they all start the slow walk on me. That was when I was stock. Fun stuff...... But yeah I know way to many GTO owners that I don't even hang with because they think they own the road, LoL.
Must be some terrible drivers in your neighborhood or they were screwing with you.
And I must say I knew my GTO was quick when I had it but why would one act like it's that special when the same engine in A C6 is almost a second faster.

I hauled it out to Formato because I had a new fuel injector stuck open.
It didn't want to run obviously.
Fuel Injector Connection overnighted me a new set and I was good to go.

If money grew on trees in my apartment I would go with the vette. But since 99% of the people in the US are not made of money, The GTO is a better buy.
I mean either the GTO is way under priced with 4 seats and an LS2 or the vette is WAY OVERPRICED with 2 seats and the same motor thats in a 30K dollar car.

I paid $40,200 for my new C6 with 2 miles on the clock after the GM rebates and $32,800 for my 2006 GTO. And after doing so I regret ever even buying the GTO to start with. Hell after you repair or replace all the GTO short comings you might as well have bought a C6. Keep in mind the C6 is light years better than the GTO and the extra $10K is worth it.
For that extra money you get:
- Chassis that was built ground up for all out performance
- Better brakes
- Suspension that requires no ugly red replacement parts to work right and handle
- Bigger better wheel tire combo
- Base C6 sound system > GTO Blaupunkt
Not to mention the performance differences which are worlds apart also. I also spent the extra $1700 on the Z51 package that adds 98% Z06 handling and braking.

If I wanted a weekend/track car, no doubt it would be a C6... I wanted something I could drive through winter, not have to pay $800 for a set of tires, have the horsepower, be able to seat more then 2 if needed, and take to the track on the weekends... GTO wins.
And GTO Seats are lightyears beyond any corvette's

The L92 Heads are awesome on larger displacement combinations.
Like strokers or the 6.2L
