so ive got a question for all you gto people...i have found a 05 gto with 44k miles for a very good price...the car has had 2 owners and no accidents...i hear that the suspension is crap on the gto...im not really concerned about the handling aspect of it but i dont want a car that i have to fix **** on all the time
i plan on getting a warranty for it but i really just want to know is there anything i should be worried about?

Find out why there was two owners with only 44k. Could've been one got bored and the other one couldn't afford it.
Or it crapped out on both of them.

Just look out for strut rub or struts leaking. Also you might want to ask psychosteve he sold his 04 GTO due to suspension/tire related problems.

There are SO many things to look for when buying them. First thing I recommned: A full coverage Extended Warranty. Would have saved my hide.
My baseline was 255rwhp, so that's how I calculated powertrain loss. Still 560rwtq is crazy.

Well I made the setup myself originally (built and tuned by me), then added some upgraded parts. But oil pan was never off the car, neither was the valve cover.... but yeah it is a "major" upgrade, but still bolt-ons, as in I can take it off and put the s/c setup back on and no one would know, but why would I ever do that.
not really since I still have the original 42k mile stock motor untouched since it was bought new.
