I will either buy these or the Ultraleggeras (in silver) next Spring/Summer...I'd love to see these come in cheaper and lighter than the OZ's...

I like the looks equally...just will depend on weight and cost (and maybe color...if these Enkei's come in their hyper black or hyper silver, that could sway my opinion)...

cuda you are only saying that so no one else buys ultraleggeras ;)

A LITTLE more info on the new PF01 wheel. They will be making wheels as wide as 10 1/4" that will fit over Brembos. and a 15 offset was mentioned. BEFORE everybody starts creaming in their jeans, whether OUR car will be included in this size is still a mystery. Ours WILL at LEAST be a 18" though. The wheel will be in the "race wheel" catagory and in the "ultra light" class of wheel. Definately lighter than the RPF1, size for size. I DON'T know what size wheel they're using for the other measurements. They will be manufactured using their "Mat Flow Technology". This is their highest strenght wheel so don't expect them to be CHEAP, but I WAS told they would be competitive with the RPF1. They will be at SEMA and should be available for sale around the end of Dec. or early Jan. I personally don't care what anybody else thinks so don't tell me what YOU think, but in MY eyes it is a BEAUTIFUL wheel. The picture posted on page 2 here is NOT entirely accurate. Go to Facebook and look around. Most of the info I just posted is there but some of it JUST came from the Enkei rep. on the phone. I, for one, will wait for this wheel.

18" rpf1s with like a +27 offset 9 width wheel all around would be sick

whats the stock offset? i forget

buellfooll 10-28-2009 03:03 PM

I have to correct some of what I just posted. The wheel pictured on page 2 IS the PF01. There is a PF02also and THAT was the wheel I was referring to. I DON't know if that will be available for us or not. But it too is a beautiful wheel. The ONLY thing changed in my post is the picture. Everything else pertains to the PF01. For all other questions please refer to Facebook. What I posted is all I know. If you look deeper into Facebook you might find more info. Some of the info came directly from Enkei. The rep gave me all he could.

that 15 offset is meant for 350z's or other RWD vehicles.. no way ur goin to fit a +15 on a cobalt.. just looked up the stock offset and its +42. ur camber would be WAYYY off and u would need some super extended lug bolts. the outter part of the wheel prolly wouldnt even touch the road lol.

I could see it happening the moment I hit "submit". My post is a very brief description of this new wheel. I wrote what I read on Facebook and was told by a Enkei rep. Please don't read anything INTO or OUT of what I said. We could go on forever with speculation.

fakameanrepresent 11-01-2009 02:50 AM

i'm so gonna cream my pants, aggressive offset FTW.

mkriebs 11-01-2009 03:40 AM

Well, well... I am glad I stumbled across this thread. I LOVE the PF01's, and was thinking of contacting Enkei about a custom drilled set, if they did not come in our pattern. Hopefully they pick some meaty widths though. I am looking to run an 17x8.5-9" wheel with 265-275's on them when I track the car. Gonna need a nasty offset too. If my estimations are right, about a 30mm offest would suffice.

**praying for wide widths**

venom09 11-01-2009 10:07 AM

Also like the PF 01.
Definately down for a set of 17 x 9's.

I don't want to rain on your parade but don't get get your hopes up TOO high. I was told about a 19X8 wheel. The rep wasn't sure about any other sizes but it wouldn't make sense to me to produce a wheel in ONE size only but even that one is better than what we have now. I'm hoping anyway.

Boneride 11-01-2009 11:50 AM

19's??? Thats gay. If anything I strongly agree with 17's. 18's are even too big for these cars. I would push for a 17 x 8.5 or 17 x 9.

mkriebs 11-01-2009 01:21 PM

19s? Really? If Enkei makes that move, I will be assured they are retarded and I will probably never buy any of their products.

WHOA!!!! That was supposed to read 18". My mistake. Sorry. Hope I didn't cause anybody to have a corony arrest.

mkriebs 11-02-2009 01:02 AM

Ok, they are looking at making 18x?????? now?

redline4 11-02-2009 01:26 AM

Honestly, Not sure why they are making a new rim. They would gain praise from us just by having the RPF1 made into 5x110 with a low aggressive offset.

mkriebs 11-02-2009 01:27 AM

You could get them made, I am sure. All they need to do is take a blank and drill it differently. I don't know how well the RPF1 would fit, since it has the little lip on it.

They'd fit just fine.

Official info on the PF01 wheel has been posted...we only get one option...but it is exactly what we need! Exact weight isn't listed, but I'd say it should fall right in between the 18x7.5 (17.2lbs) and the 18x8.5 (18.0lbs).

Now all we have to do is wait on pricing and availability!
