Possible Rim Color

was looking for paint at the store today cause i may end up doing my rims soon, and i saw this...

anyone know anything about it? i googled reviews of it and tried to find pictures but i was pretty unsuccessful. was curious if it would look good and is worth the 20$. from the description i guess it gives ur rims a black chrome look, which could be cool i guess --- idk??

u get 1 can of the spray and 1 can of clear coat. would probably need 2 kits.

yeah i dont know. im up in the air between gold/bronze (not too bright, but not too brownish) or black. im kinda hesitant of trying something without even being able to see pics. but i would also do all the emblems on the car with this if it does come out black chrome it would be pretty tight i guess?

Usually those don't come out as shiny as the cap makes it look. I would just get a can and test it out on an emblem and see how you like it. You can just sand and repaint if you don't like it.

it looks like a transparent black, like nightshades, that you spray over chrome, to give it a black chrome look. I imagine the more coats the darker it is, just be careful applying it and make sure you get all your coats even, its like spraying a candy, heavy in 1 spot and light in another leaves to dark and light looking spots on the rims. give it a shot though should be pretty sweet if you have chrome rims

yeah i was thinking that too -- that darker = darker, and i would probably go pretty dark. you do put it in perspective though, with dark spots. didnt consider that....

i would probably be better off polishing the rims too first right, opposite of sanding, to keep it shiny, chromey. found some pics too of chrome black, not necessarily with duplicolor though

so than like.... how will it stay shiny/glossy/chromey?? when i read it, it seemed like the duplicolor paint was just a tint spray.

See what the instructions say, the paint will fill in the scratches anyways so just because its dull when you scuff it doesnt really mean anything, gotta sand it with like 600-800 grit
