lol i really like my rims and wouldnt trade them for anything (other then the same ones in 19s) but yours made me think twice about it. if i didnt loose anything in the deal and didnt curb them ever... damn that would be tempting but neither of those would ever happen

im assuming you use a taller tire too though. taller effective gear ratio = negative impact on acceleration.

Those look pretty good. I know it would be hard for you to tell on your car but does there look like these have allot of space between the wheel and the calipers?

never mind they are 4 lug. DUH!

The conversion came out great man...I converted mine to 5x114 using motorsports tech adapters that were made hub centric to the hub and all, rides great and helped me acquire that "hellaflush"/aggressive stance I was going for.

Wheel: Rota Grid 5x114
Tire: 215/40/18 Falkens "Stretched"
Drop: Progress Springs

If I could only get some REAL coil over action on the RL!! Why the hell did GM make the struts mounts different!!! all suggestions are welcome....

Also, running these adapters might alleviate the problem the SS/TC guys are having with brake clearance, just use the adapters/spacers while ending up with a 5x114 bolt pattern is a win win!

The rim looks good but damn you need some wider tires. How wide is that rim? I can't truly tell from the pics but it looks like the rim sticks out past the fender edge. What is the adapters you have?

My bad was late but the lowest they will make the adapter is 20mm...thats what I used because I knew I wanted an aggressive set up. Maybe sure you get the hub centric ones.

Does anyone know if the g5 17's will clear the ss/tc's brembos with a small spacer like the ss/na 17's? Does anyone have a couple ss/na wheels they would like to sell me?

I've been waiting a long time to buy wheels, abstaining from all the crap that's in 5x110. And I'm glad I waited. These are awesome.

Typically, I hate those effortless car-in-driveway shots, but I'm too excited. Better pictures to come at a later date.
I am not a fan of most (nearly 99.999%, repeating of course) aftermarket wheels. Yes, I am specifically referring to the barrage of terrible and hideous wheels available for the Cobalt but this percentage reflects equally across just about any car make/model out there.

I am particularly put-off by CSL replicas. They are overdone, overplayed and on everything ever. Except for actual CSL's. Go figure.

In fact, if this were my car (and, sometimes, I desperately wish that it were) I'd have kept the stock, gunmetal 18's. Maybe widened them, but, kept them. They are EXCELLENT, chunky, have MASSIVE loads of appeal and fit the shape of the car REALLY well - forget the matching ebb of color for his color scheme.

But, I have to say - when I saw these in person I smiled. These are good wheels. Noticeable, but not gaudy. Dark, not chrome. No lip, no riddick stupid fitment past the fenders/quarterpanels and no CHEVY-RIDE-HIGH oversize with stupid tires.

Everything else is fail.
