I run 245's on 9.5 wide wheels and its a lot of tire if you dont track your car. and much more expensive compared to 235

Maven and John in the same thread on CSS wow!
But Id listen to both of these guys!
Ive ran 235s on my SS/tc and liked them a lot. I am dropping down to 225's on the tc's due to availability. But like I said I ran 255's (9 inch wide wheels) on my cobalt and while it honestly felt great at highway speeds, I agree with maven its a bit much for a street driven cobalt. Not to mention I noticed a loss of gas mileage (another reason im going back to my ss/tcs with 225's).
Wider isnt always better.

well they are going on at 5pm at my buddies gm stealership for $20 lol good to have friends lol also i have to get inspected soooooo well see how that goes, thats theh main reason for the tires the ones one their wont pass inspection

a 255/35 is the exact ratio of stock 225/40, so a 245/40 is much taller and wider, which will throw off the speedo and acceleration...i wanna run a 245/35, but the overall ratio is slightly smaller, which will change the gearing...
