sweet! thats one thing i hated about this turbo, it didnt have enough shaft speed in midrange to support high boost without surging on the stock head. i am glad to see porting it made a big difference

Technically we dont know if it was the head or actuator that fixed the surge and i have yet to do a full wot pull. But thats soon to come and currently it has more mid on pump than it did on e25

I would want to say the actuator had the most effect on the surge but I could be wrong, but I'm sure the head helped out

The increased flow of the head will take pressure off of the compressor as well tho

Why is that? Was rail pressure dropping too much on e25?

A lot of the zfrs have a little surge like action in the mid-range. I'm pretty sure the compressor is out flowing what the head can take

I was comparing the power level from now to that of e25 for midrange. And so far i have no surge but i installed a ported head and dual port actuator so i dont know which one fixed it or if it was just the overall package

Yes. This is my exact point thats why i was ao excited for the ported head even if i didn't make more topend the mid will improve a lot
