Yes....yes I did. Thank you Midas on MacLeod!! $200 to install it, plus I needed a new rear O2 sensor ($300.....thanks GM) because the threads on the other one were screwed and would have ended up screwing up my new threads on the downpipe. The could not be filed or fixed in anyway. I watched the guy do the whole thing and take the sensor out and show me. It was really stuck and took a lot of time and WD-40 to get it to come out.

woulda been cheaper to just plug the hole or put a wideband in it. and disable the rear O2

its only there to test your cat efficiency anyway hehe.

Yeah true.....but it is done now and in place. I do have the extra O2 bung for my Wideband which I just picked up from Spaz. So that will hopefully be in soon and then up next is lowering springs and a tune.

I didn't put mine back on either. Weight reduction ftw! Hopefully I'm not melting anything away. I'll check it out Mondaywhen I get it on the lift.

You can't put the heat shield back on because it won't fit on the new header. And nothing should be anywhere NEAR the new header to be melting.

It is possible to put it back on.. all you have to do is bend it. I was just wondering if it was necessary.

I would keep that one in place, otherwise you might get a lot more heat in your car in the summer.

You should be able to just bend it out of the way easily.

Did you break in the cat properly by not getting on it for around 500 miles?

get under the car, and have someone start it JUST FOR A SECOND OR TWO. it will help you pinpoint the location of the rattles. I had some crazy ass rattles too, turned out to be the harness for the rear 02 sensor banging against the tranny mount.
