$10K?

ZFR and F40 6 speed. Would be a lot of fun, but I would have to be single and rich to do something so nuts.

If they thought more than 5 people wanted it the prices would come down. Way of the beast.

i think it's priced pretty fairly. $3,649 installed kaput said and done. you can get an F40 for ~$600 (yes some models have different gearing). and you're also getting the new flywheel. the shifter assembly, cables, clutch disc, mounts, and a drop in axles setup.

when you account for all the r&d getting this setup together. then after that, the employee time and material going in to making just one of these kits ready to be sold to public. $3,650 is a steal.

the other two options are a $10k 4t65hd swap. or the quaife 6 speed conversion which is $3,900 just itself. even if you install it, there's still time there. or the cost of having someone else pull your trans, install the gears, install trans. you're looking at $5k for the quaife.

the 4.45 is what a few hundred less than the 6speed? and is good to ~600whp. but with the 6speed you're getting 700+whp, super tight gearing, and an amazing powerband/spool with the selection of gears.... sign this guy up. haha

Where did 10K come from ?
I cant get the price higher than 4500,and that's installed.
Iv know people that have paid more than that for a regular rebuilt trans installed.

I feel ya, i've been running a trans i got from a junk yard for a few years now ,1-2 syncrho is pretty much trashed, lots of slop and it sounds like its grinding coffee when in neutral , the damn thing got water in it while it was sitting , didn't know it till i changed the gear oil for the first time and it was milky. So iv been planing to replace the trans anyway.

I am waiting on my kit. Should be soon. Have had my saab tranny for a couple months already. If you see a good deal, less then a grand you should pick one up. There mostly like 1300 just for the transmission.

You will be sadly upset if you buy that g6 tranny. Soft ratios, dumb final drive, and a v6 bell housing lol. That's why there so cheap.
