My horrible experience with ZZ Performance!
I own a 2007 Cobalt SS/SC & I ordered a big front mount heat exchanger and a dual pass intercooler plate from ZZP recently. After spending hours tearing the car apart for the install we ran into many problems. There are no instructions for the front mount H/E and the instruction for the plate are basically worthless & couldn't be more misleading. Finally after getting everything installed, coolant filled, & start up we noticed even more problems. The welds on the dual pass intercooler plate were bad & had a hidden pit causing it to leak. Now that is only half the story so far. When trying to re-install the front bumper we noticed the H/E sits too far forward and hits the bumper so it can't be installed now. I called ZZP to complain and they didn't seem very concerned with the fact that I've been with out a car for 4 days now b/c it all torn apart again. Not only do I have to do some custom fabrication to the H/E I have to wait to mail back the faulty plate & get a new one returned.
The amount of money I paid I would expect some quality parts that are well designed, I got the exact opposite.
I'll let some pictures help explain my frustration with ZZ Performance.

I called them & like stated in my thread they didn't seem too concerned about their parts being faulty/poorly designed or me being w/ out a car now until I get a new plate & fab up the H/E so my bumper will fit correctly.

that would be shitty if this gets locked or deleted! i think that people should konw about the products and how good or bad they are. and if ZZP cant stand behind the product no onw should buy from them.
if it gets deleted i would repost it in anouther section...

Okay, wow, so the heat exchanger didnt fit because you didnt take the time to locate it properly with the bumper cover on first...... No excuse there dont see how that is there fault, instructions or not, measure twice cut once saying ring a bell. I have installed alot of different kinds of heat exchangers on these cars and well, they all fit perfectly. It is too bad about the dualpass endplate however, it would be nice of them to send you the new one immediatley and just wait on there end for you to return yours. Not trying to be dick, but dont see how some of this is there fault.

I've said it before... Don't bother with these cheap ass heat exchangers. Buy one from a company who specializes in making them.
You can get a quality made true dual pass heat exchanger for $300.... And no, that's not expensive for a quality piece. You get what you pay for.

The should cater to the vendors but in turn the vendors should cater to provide the highest qaulity service to the public. That is what drives business and if people dont like the way a company operates the stop buying and things will go down hill.
back on topic know sorry for the thread jack.
