ZZP Customer Service

Trying to make a story quick...

In summary I bought the s256et kit from ZZP and made 500whp on a stock motor. Very happy. Since it was my 3rd year with the kit I thought I wanted more. I finally got a built transmission, and I was looking to get a built motor and thought I would upgrade to a s259 Batmowheel in hopes of making 600whp.

I ordered it from ZZP. Quick shipping, excellent, and it arrived. I took it to my GM Mechanic friend where he installed it the same way he installed the s256et. I took it out on the road and broke it in, giving it about 300 miles of no boost, just vaccuum.

The new turbo was messed from the factory. It created a sawing noise and wouldn't go into boost. My mechanic pulled the turbo off and I contacted Matt M from ZZP, and I went back to the s256et.

To summarize. ZZP gave me a full refund, pretty much asking just a few questions. Bullseye Power sells great turbos that rarely fail. I think they were surprised that it failed from the factory and they doubted my install - that it was done impropertly and were reluctant to offer a refund. I explained that I had a GM Mechanic install it as I was useless with a wrench lol. I also explained that I did notice some small issues when I bought it (a slight grinding noise i could hear when I spun it, and the blades didn't look balanced perfectly like my s256et was) ZZP and Matt M took my word and stood up to Bullseye, and hasseled them for a few weeks and got me my money back - even when it was clear Bullseye didn't want to refund it.

On top of answering all my questions, non-stop, I hope this is proof that Matt M and ZZP stand up for the customer if you treat them nicely and work with them and let them work with you. If you have a problem, just don't run to the forum and say this sucks. Email ZZP, explain the situation, be patient, and they will do the best to get it resolved for you.

Now I just have to pick a new turbo.

Cheers!

raver0789 (Matt)

I'm not a customer of ZZP

i believe I only bought the zzp stage 1 cams w/ big fuel lobe from them. That's it.

But Matt of ZZP has always been very helpful if I have any inquiries.
that's very cool, IMO.

matts a good guy.... only tihng i have to say is if you heard sometihng before it was installed you should never of installed it and said something right then and there. so just for future reference inspect before you install it. your a very lucky guy they warrentied it for you knowing it had issues before it was installed.

Second this.

Most companies don't like to warrant anything. Its money they lose. They will try to find a way to weasel their way out of anything and everything. Glad you went with Zzp. Truly they stand up for us.

for you. they aren't as helpful with everyone. and you don't really lose money on warranties since those go back to the manufacturer. unless its something they design and build themselves in house.

They've always answered my emails, even though some of them are probably are like telling someone how to draw a circle.

They've always been honest with me.

Oh trust me I covered my ass. As soon as I got the turbo and noticed the issues I contacted bullseye power directly and told them. I saved all my emails. I sent Matt M the emails. I guess he knew right there bullseye was full of ****. He emailed me back saying trust me you are gettinga full refund lol. Wish bullseye wowould have been standup too. Yes but I bought the turbo from zzp so they get a bit of a margin on the turbo obviously. Plus they welded the vband on for me. So if bullseye said no they would have taken a loss themselves.

I can't say anything but good things about ZZP, they always return my emails, and handle any issue I have, or question very quickly.

Good products. Excellent customer service. Might take them a day or 2 to return an email sometimes but that's because they are so awesome they are returning 100 other emails. ZZP ftw!

Agreed
Last year when I bought stage 2 blower cams
Comp cams miss ground the base circle by .21causing the valves to stay open
Zzp sent me a brand new set with little questions
Along with 4 or 5 other members
Couldn't be happier with how they make power and how bad ass the idle sounds
I've spent 3000 with them and will spend more
