ZZP Long tube headers

The header looks fantastic. Good job ZZP.
To the people wondering about the difference between this and the over the top header, the length is quite the difference, but this feature also chalks one up to OTT's header.
But since I mod on a budget, I would seriously consider the ZZP part if I was in the market for a header since it's more affordable.
It's not about buying the best or most expensive parts, it's about combining the parts you can afford properly to make an effective setup which makes you happy.

OTT made the primaries the wrong length for a supercharged LSJ. We found their design to be less than optimal. It seems that they just made them as long as possible and hoped that it would work.

I was going to say, even though ZZP's collector doesn't look as good, I wouldn't rule it out as not performing just as good if not better.
ZZP is known to do their homework before just making something.

we've still yet to see any dyno numbers from the ottp one.. does that mean the zzp one is better? no but at least we know the zzp works well lol

The problem with OTT is that they don't actually have much of anything. They have to source this type of product elsewhere and it gets marked up twice. If they try to compete with our pricing, then there is no way that they can afford to offer any type of reasonable customer service. If they negotiate a better price from their suppliers, then they receive less service in return and lead times/availability suffers. They also don't have the luxury of test fitting on the spot during fabrication, dyno testing, and track testing on a regular basis. Without question, ZZP is set up to lead the way in Cobalt performance.

I had told OTTP I wanted the 1 5/8" header.....it took literally months for them to get the pieces to make one,(i was going to be the first they had made, since xshadowx cancelled) and then they stopped answering my PM's......... So I decided to pass on their product and Ill have a ZZP one this week.
Even so, they had my money for nearly three (3) weeks and I never heard a word.. Just that they had to get the piping or something. So I completely agree with your decision, in-fact even with my SS, I won't even waste my time with OTTP.
I have had no problem with ZZP thus far at all with anything on my new SS.
I'm hopping on that train too.. I agree.

Well, I've had mine on for a couple of weeks now. It sounds excellent mated to my Thermal Catback, and I've yet to find anyone that thought my previous setup sounded better (cobalt addiction V1 and a ZZP catted(gutted) DP and the Thermal). It is however much louder, which I expected.
I have only 2 minor complaints. I ordered mine with the second o2 bung, and with my wideband installed, the end of the sensor rests on the inside of the exhaust tunnel. Secondly, it seems this setup is a tad bit longer than my zzp dp stock/CAV1 header combo. The exhaust tip noticeably sticks out more, and the flanges that mate the catback to the axle back hits the rear suspension and makes a lot of racket. Otherwise it's ben great.

Just installed mine on '08 LS with 2.2 Fit in just fine, no interference, no issues with it being longer than my stock setup, didnt have to adjust the position of my exhaust at all. Easiest header Ive ever installed honestly. Only issue is due to my car being an L61, uses different O2 sensors than an LSJ so I had to lightly modify the extension harness. Other than that it was cake.

I checked my account / email. They probably had to make more of them after that sale hahaha.
