After a redesign for LNF compatability and many months of waiting, we have released our control arms. Quite simply, they are simply the best money can buy.

 

do they rattle or make an unwanted noise like helmjoints on endlinks do

 

Hmmm....can't see myself paying 499 for a set.....good work nonetheless

I'd be a little concerned about dirt and such destroying the heim joint in no time flat.

 

bit much 299 sounds better remember we bought cobalts because we couldnt afford Ferrari's

this be an alternative to the 2.2's. that way we wouldnt have to buy ss control arms the the spherical(SP?) joints from ottp. but like some body else said those heim joint will be needing changed alot due to dirt and junk. sealed joint be good on them

ZZP has been testing these for years in the Grand Prix market where similar concerns were voiced and have not been silenced. We tested for a year before release, including a car that had been crashed with these being the only front corner part to survive.

We sold around 20 sets in the GP market and to date no one, including our original test vehicles in MI have had to replace the heim joints. None of them squeak or make noise.

We charge a premium price for a premium product. We could build them from mild steel and lower the price but they wouldn't be light. We could paint them instead of powdercoating but they would chip, scratch and rust with some time. We could use rubber instead of poly but the performance would suffer. So we built the best and charge a fair price for it.

If you look at any other applications on summit or jegs and search, you'll see we are priced very fairly for what we're offering.

Most other vehicles are done in very high volume compared to ZZP. To boot, many companies don't offer chrome moly (as seen above from BMR)

 

I dont find the prices expsensive for me the other option would be to buy fe5 control arms and then spherical bushings so that would be what 700 plus when done

 

peeps need to stop complaining about prices. who else sells these? no one. chrome molly isnt cheap. the welding rod they need isnt cheep. if my car wasnt being totaled i would be ordering these right now. thank you zzp for all the effort youve put into making the balts faster. **** the haters.

Cobalt FE5 arms...

 

hell yeah!

 

i know its a totaly different car. but even moly fbody lower a arms arent that expensive.....and if you get uppers and lowers they are only like more.

 

interesting would like to see some reviews on how the perform

 

$300 for the FE5 arms, $200 for the spherical cabs, $50 for shipping and pressing.

I agree as well but we can't even produce them for that. OUr cost on each unit is higher than 300 and that's in production. Development cost is thousands but we invest our profits into new products and testing for this platform. We're building our business and showing support for a platform so the benefits for us hopefully extend past the sales we'll get from items like this.
