the stage two's look nice,
basically better DSS stage two's

i have heard of leaking DSS's and DSS's with bad splines causing trans failures.

so these zzp axles are looking real fresh.

i have some questions though, how have the stage two's been tested, are they for sure good for 500hp?

i see that they have a warranty on center bar breakage, but what about the splines?
Especially on the trans side I am worried after seeing some of the havoc the DSS's have caused.

sweet deal, i broke my axle day 2 of owning my SS tiring to find the best way to launch, feather the clutch at 3k had some wheel hop and the axle snapped in 2 places . i haven't tried launching my car since. i know wheel hop is bad, but wow i i thought it could take more than that, my last car was a ford escort zx2 and it took 5k clutch dumps with nitrous out the hole for 3 years with no problems.

i kinda figured the axles were designed to break...

is there a core charge ? thies will be my next upgrade

No core charge on any of the axles.

Our stage 1's are the exact same axle as OTT, just a lot cheaper. We have not tested them for WHP, I'm guessing OTT is guessing at 325. Time will tell.

Our stage 2's do not have spline warranty because it's better material but the same size as stock. We have run them at over 400WHP without issues. Soon over 500WHP.
If you are overly concerned, the stage 3's are the only way to get larger splines and an unconditional warranty on everything.

Stage 1 should be fine for most people. You need to be very careful when your transmission becomes the week point in your drivetrain.

Very true but it's the only way that customers understand things. If we started talking about vehicle weight, torque, traction, etc things would get confusing. The only real way to test is to do a torque to failure test with load readings are various degrees of twist. ZZP has and often does this type of testing but we are mocked for being smart on CSS.net so it's easier to keep the explanations simple and avoid people posting FTL and "my axles 'feel' stronger', etc. It's frustrating. Here's an example of the testing we do to determine this type of strength:

You generally won't see other companies doing this type of testing. It's much easier to make up false HP numbers or give colorful descriptions that really don't give any real information. I hope that when we start racing and as time goes on, people begin to appreciate the scientific methods.

We added these to the site yesterday, how would they know what we're selling?

There is much I'd love to say about a lot of products used on these boards but hostile customers, moderators, and other vendors have forced me silent, so much information cannot be shared. On the axles, OTT says they aren't the same, I say they are. Order them both if you are curious and post your results. I'll give you 110% of your money back if you return ours.
